The Brotherhood

The Brotherhood is an organization of men within the Temple Har Zion (THZ) family. THZ Brotherhood provides opportunities to actively participate in special events, fundraising efforts and projects that affect the temple and the greater community. We generally meet monthly, start the evening with a nosh, listen to an interesting speaker and most importantly have fun. A number of meetings are open to all temple members and the greater community.  This friendly group encourages new ideas and new members. On March 13, 2012 at 7:30, the brotherhood will feature a presentation called "The Remarkable Story of the One Who Almost Made It Back", Paul Stancer will recount the life story of one of Canada’s unsung heroes of World War 11. He will explore the short life of Squadron Leader Edward (Teddy) Weymen Blenkinsop DFC, Croix de Guerre (Belgium) RCAF of Victoria, British Columbia. Paul will take you back in time to Canada in the 1940’s as we begin this remarkable tale of one young man who served his country with distinction.
